200th Article: We’ve come a long way in just five months

200

Consider this, before October 28th, no-one had ever heard of Creo, PTC’s suite of design software.  Now, it seems everyone is talking about it and anxiously awaiting our mid-June release.

Today we celebrate our 200th post on creo.ptc.com. In case you missed any of it, here’s a look back at our not-so-long road so far:

October 28th. Creo announced. It was one of PTC’s largest events in history, with thousands taking part both physically and virtually in our Creo launch. creo.ptc.com and @PTC_Creo on Twitter were also launched.

November and December. PlanetPTC Live events  in Paris, Stuttgart, Shanghai, and Tokyo introduced Creo to customers all around the world, with great reactions from everyone who saw early Creo demonstrations. We also started the global advertising campaign with the theme: Unlock Potential.

January. Technical Committee meetings. Users saw and worked with Creo 1.0 and gave us some of the earliest real-life feedback. We went behind the scenes to highligh the people and processes we’re using to develop Creo 1.0. We also reported a recording-breaking 36% grown in new CAD license sales – Creo was having an impact.

February. Creo nominated as product of the month by Nasa Tech Briefs – signalling that Creo is a technology worth evaluating for all manufacturers. We also launched our Creo eBook, the pledge, and took part in the Cadalyst Smackdown that concluded ‘offering the freedom of choice’ between parametric and direct was best for manufacturers.

March. creo.ptc.com and @PTC_Creo go international, live in German, Italian, French, and Japanese – in addition to English.

Beyond? We have the release of Creo 1.0 mid-June during the week of PlanetPTC Live in Las Vegas, Creo 1.0 at HMI, and hundreds of launch activities planned by PTC and our partners. Thanks for visiting creo.ptc.com and sharing our journey with us!

PS. And finally, don’t just take our word for it – check out the reactions from press, analysts, prospects, and customers to Creo.
